I think Vermillion(goldenpanda) was having the same issue. I think it may have something to do with graphics from whats going on in town when you login.

It happens on my account Zortborg III on one particular machine??? Zortborg III works fine on my sons machine and on this machine on other modules!! I created another account that began with Z and that crashed too. I created another account that began with S and that works???
So it seems to be an account starting with the letter Z on this particular machine on ACN V3.
Even for PC random weirdness that is off the scale.
I shall use an account that doesn't begin with Z.

Graphic cards and graphic chips can have issues with NwN. NO haks are patches are needed to play ACN. People in the past had trouble with the town. Its the tileset, meaning any other module can have that problem (if you find one that starts in the same tileset).
Update Graphics Card or chip Detune the graphic settings (due to incompatibility issues with NwN) Hard drive healthy and defragged? Rollback the graphics card driver to a previous one (old fix for Nvidia cards until newest patch) Remove shiny water, etc. Do you use 64bit OS? Your graphics card drivers will be 64bit also, but NwN drivers are 32bit. You must run it in Comp mode winxp srv. pk 2-3 with Admin rights. If you have a soundcard, it needs to be updated, tuned/detuned/rolled back if it has 64bit drivers or abilities that are too new or unavailable when the game was released. Hell my EAX 4.0 wont work, though the game supports EAX cause its too new.
If you think the names is the issue and it works, then go with it. However there is nothing to indicate this is true, besides ironic, coincidental luck imo.

...and yes I can eliminate some of the graphical load in town, but until I know which one could be crashing you, eliminating one at a time would take forever, not to mention I would have to load a test module and have you login, with no guarantee it was the graphics in town to begin with.

Thanks for that. I shall fiddle with some settings. The important thing is that I can get on one way or another.
