Sorry, forgot to mention... Direct connect was the first thing I tried after this problem. Did not work... server timed out like every other attempt:/ Very strange. Maybe Mil can help you more, I have never encountered this problem. Since you can login to other server but not this one is what is strange for me.  |

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but here goes, heh... I'm unable to connect to ACN. Shows up fine on the server list, ping is ok, checked firewall settings, even removed it for a bit... just can't find server. Other servers work fine, so problem exists only here. Anyone, any ideas what it could be? An old player wishes to check in every now and then;) -Hare If server doesn't show up in Gamespy for whatever reason once in a while, that's because of issue with gamespy themselves. Using gamespy's direct connect via ip wont work either. Have to make a shortcut direct connect to login, etc. That is, an alternative method than routing through gamespy. You dont have to use gamespy, you have use many other types of providers. Until I started ACN, I didn't use gamespy at all. Can't remember the provider anymore I used. Bass could explain this probably better. Anyhow, periodically gamespy servers (hubs) will go down. This can be global if the master server goes down. However other hubs can go down without notice, affecting modules. If the problem persist let me know. |

Could someone (*perhaps bass please*) post here some alternative methods to direct connect... I know they can be found if I make some effort but I'm lazy;-p And it could possibly help others that are not whining here like me...

Sorry for asking if you have already done so but first lets clear this up. You have made a shortcut on your computer to nwn.main and input the + [ IP address ] etc? I will try to mention it to Bass as soon as I can. |
